Redmi K30 (POCO X2) – Specification, Review, Pros and Cons | Tech Info Diaries

Top features of Redmi K30:

Display :

The Display is the main selling point of Redmi K30. K30 is not having an Amoled Display like the K20. It comes with an IPS panel which is HDR 10 Certified. Its screen refresh rate is 120Hz which mean the screen can refresh 120 times within a second. Which results in a buttery smooth transition and it is very easy to notice. You can also enjoy high FPS games in this display very smoothly. You will surely get used to the high refresh rate display. It is highly color accurate, no aggressive saturations. You can enjoy HDR videos in different platforms like Youtube any other platforms. Though Amoled is more preferable but as an IPS it’s a great display.

What impresses me most is the 120hz fresh rate, you can turn it on from Display in the settings. I highly recommend you to choose 120hz, it’s just insanely smooth. I just made a simple comparison with the 60hz fresh rate, from my experience, it’s smoother in every way, from surfing the website or browsing your social media app. Though it eats your battery faster than 60hz fresh rate.

Build Quality:

Redmi did not use any motorized camera or notch. Instead it went for a dual punch hole display. Good to see Redmi trying something different. K30 is a glass sandwich device having Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. It has a minimal bezel so the design looks good. Also the build quality appreciable.

Processor:

The processor used in K30 is the Snapdragon 730G which is a midrange beast. It is an upgraded 730 with an overclocked Adreno 618 GPU which delivers 15% better performance. It ran High demanding games very well because it is a gaming chip. There is no lag or stuttering in day to day tasks. The multi-tasking was also Steller. UFS 2.1 delivers fast app opening and switching.

Camera:

Its main sensor is a 64MP Sony IMX 686 along with an 8MP Ultra-wide. There is also a macro and depth sensor. The main camera performance was impressive. Images were detailed and sharp. Dynamic range was so good.  The ultra wide shots were somewhat okay but the macro sensor was not anything to write about. But I was satisfied with the video quality. Stabilization was so good along with fast and smooth focusing.

Battery and charger:

Redmi K30 has a 4500mAh big battery which is good to see. A fast charger of 27 watt is provided in the box. But the high refresh rate display blows a punch on it. You get 6 hours SOT. Its good to see Redmi providing a 27W Fast charger out of the Box. Which charges the device 0-100% in just 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Storage:

If I talk about the storage and Ram then you will get three option in ROM i.e 64/128/256 GB storage and 6/8GB of RAM in this phone because of this you will get better multitasking.

Conclusion:

This is the full review of Redmi K30 and one thing I would like to tell you about this phone which it lacks is the battery drain, although you get large 4500 mAh battery but isn’t gives the good battery backup because of high refresh rate. Apart from this, there are no problems with the phone you getting USB C port, fast charging, big display, Sony IMX 686 camera, big battery and fast processor, multitasking is also smooth and looking at all these things I will give a big Thumbs up to Redmi K30.
