Do not accept defeat: Dr. Poonam

Psychologist Dr. Poonam Mahala said that there are two aspects of the game. In the game, one side always wins and the other side loses. But taking a step like suicide, desperate after losing in a competition, is no solution. Rather, taking that defeat positively, one should prepare herself more strongly for the next matches.

Dr. Poonam Mahala says that committing suicide is not the solution to any problem. The current round is a period of competition. People especially young and teenagers already feel mental pressure during this period which affects their performance. In such a situation, parents should not pressurize the children to perform better and first position.

She said that at present most of the parents impose their dreams on the children and this is very wrong. Dr. Poonam Mahala appealed to the parents that they should explain to their children that life does not end if there is no place in any competition. Losing is not a bad thing. We should not give up defeat. Rather, taking an experience from him, one should overcome his shortcomings by working more hard in the future.

Do not create unnecessary pressure on children: Rajkumar

Arjuna Awardee and Asian Gold Medalist Boxer Rajkumar Sangwan said that in the present times, parents are forced to always be on top of their child without knowing their abilities. Parents have only one wish that their child should win in any competition. Due to this, they give their children such a goal many times, which they cannot fulfill.

He said that in this situation the children come under mental pressure if they do not perform as per the wishes of the parents. In such a situation, parents should not put any kind of pressure on the children. If the parents do not put any pressure on the children then the children will perform better.
